“You can’t polish a turd.”
I wish I knew who to credit for this quote. Only because I want to prove them wrong.
If you’ve stopped by my site over the past couple of years, you’ve seen a guy throwing crap up against a wall to see if it would stick. I had a great idea with a poor plan. I had plenty of people who believed in my concept, but I didn’t have the time nor focus to pull it off.
Now I realize that all the time and visualization in the world wouldn’t have helped. I would have failed no matter what. I just wasn’t ready. Period. Another way to look at it might be – No Fail – I’m right where I need to be.
I have spent my entire life reading and studying successful people. I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know some of them on a personal level. We have, and continue to learn a lot from each other. Some of these are longtime friends and it’s been awesome seeing them grow and evolve. I’m in total awe!
In my early years I was really into roll-modeling. Reading about how others have done it, then emulate them and hope for the same results. You know what? It kind of worked. I learned from other successful people in show business as well as the spiritually aware. I took what they did, put my own spin on it and it took me to some great heights.
My “role -modeling” worked like a champ. But I always felt like something was missing. That’s why I haven’t ditched this website yet. That’s why I’ve decided to continue on with my Terry Jaymes Alive Podcast, as well as a few more top-secret projects. What I want to continue to explore is my own point of view. Nobody else’s. I want to share information and ideas with one another in hopes that we all become happier people.
There is no right or wrong way to do something. Let people praise us and hate on us all they want, for that is their point of view. I’m learning to be much more confident, responsible and honest. I’m learning to be healthier physically and mentally. It’s such a great feeling.
This isn’t rocket surgery here folks. We ALL want better in our lives. We can blame and point fingers if we choose, but that’s weak. This revamped website was done to feature the Terry Jaymes Alive Podcast and to make it easier to get for anybody who wants it. I’m not doing it to be some sort of self-help guru. In their eye’s I’m a very flawed person. I’m not an inspiration. I’ve just chosen to live an inspired life.
